OUR LEARNING

We base our planning and structure of the day on the guidance set out by the government in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We use simple themes and we also celebrate the major festivals of all countries and religions.   We are also proudly committed to tracking and reporting each individual child's progress through the EYFS using our online portal for staff and parents to communicate.

Early Years Log (EYLOG) and Reporting to parents/carers

We understand the value of strong lines of communication between nursery and home in order to better support the progress of your child. We therefore make use of a web-based tablet programme called Early Years Log (EYLOG). This allows us to observe, assess and plan for the children individually.
There is also a parent App available which allows you to view observations as they are published as well as a diary of sleep/food/nappies/milk for your child. The programme also benefits from a secure messaging system and you can also view your latest invoices and payments.
For more information, please visit the EYLOG website – https://eylog.co.uk
